Entertainment Mafia is thrilled to present Mike Cunningham, a professionally trained performer. Mike’s performance style is unlike any other percussionist in the UK and features influences from both the military and show-style drumming backgrounds. From a set of roaming LED bongos and snare drum to a full multi-percussion setup, and the ability to use 3 sticks at once, he is incredibly versatile and can perform to a wide variety of genres.
Mike is an alumni of both Leeds Conservatoire and Chetham’s School of Music where he gained the majority of his training and was involved with many of the ensembles and orchestras at both institutions. He was invited to join 80’s pop music icon Marc Almond on his UK tour in 2016 as part of a collaboration to celebrate 50 years of the conservatoire and included performing in Leeds Town Hall and the Royal Festival Hall to crowds of around 3000 people. As well as this, he also toured with the conservatoire’s Camerata for performances in Germany, Amsterdam and Belgium. Since then, his professional career has led him to performing with DJ’s, bands and other instrumentalists around the UK, as well as abroad, and has included working with clients such as L’Oréal Paris, Amazon, Double Tree by Hilton, The Alchemist, Revolution bars and Debenhams.
